All Locations in 99 Nights in the Forest (Biomes, Landmarks & What to Farm Where)

Every biome and landmark in 99 Nights in the Forest: the radial map, what spawns in the Forest / Snow / Volcanic / Jungle biomes, the loot structures, the quest locations, and the utility buildings — and where sources disagree.

Updated 2026-09-29

The map of 99 Nights in the Forest is not a fixed set of coordinates — it generates around your campfire in a radial pattern. A safe inner ring of forest, then dangerous outer sectors radiating outward. This page is the overview: what each biome holds, the landmarks worth travelling to, and the utility buildings that keep a run running. For the two biggest set-piece locations, see Cultist Stronghold and Missing Kids Locations.

How the Map Generates

Most guides describe a concentric model: a safe inner circle (0–500m) built around your campfire, with outer biomes splitting off in sectors. Your run does not reuse a fixed map, so the layout shifts every time — but the categories of place are stable.

RingWhat is thereDanger

The Biomes

Forest (always). Your start biome. Wolves, Alpha Wolves, the occasional Bear, plus The Deer and The Owl at night. Almost every early structure (sheds, cabins, towers, the Animal Shelter) spawns here.

Snow. Cold-pressure biome. Home to The Owl, Polar Bears, Arctic Foxes, and the Ice Temple (a reliable Cultist Gem route and the Ice Bow line). Also holds the Owl's Nest. You need warm clothing to stay long.

Volcanic. Endgame biome: The Ram at night (it replaces The Deer here, like The Owl replaces it in Snow), Scorpions, lava terrain, and the Cultist King Palace. Go only with heat planning and a cleared return path.

Jungle. Dense hostile camps, Boars, Frogs, and temple loot. Listed by several location guides, but see the disagreement note below — not every source treats it as a per-run biome.

Landmark Categories

Loot structures (the scrap grind). Sheds, Wooden/Metal Sheds, cabins (Medium, Large), barns, armories and towers. The Watchtower is the standout early find: it reliably holds 5× Old Flashlights. These are the structures covered in How to Get Scrap Fast — they are where your metal and wood come from.

Quest locations.

  • Cultist Stronghold — the repeatable Diamond source (3 floors, 20-min reset).
  • Missing Kids caves — four key-gated caves, the main quest.
  • Ice Temple (Snow) — Cultist Gems and the Ice Bow route.
  • Cultist King Palace (Volcanic) — spend four Cultist Gems.
  • Owl's Nest (Snow) — feather deposits since the 22 August 2026 Biome Refresher.
  • Frog Cave — the Frog King encounter (event-linked).

Utility buildings.

  • Pelt Trader — turns Wolf Pelts into tool upgrades (Good Axe, Good Sack).
  • Upgrade Station / Workshop — flute upgrades and crafting (crossed-tools map icon).
  • Abandoned Animal Shelter (Domestication Cabin) — where you get Taming Flutes; see Taming Guide.
  • Fishing Hut / Ponds — rods and fish (Mackerel, Salmon) for Green Frog food.
  • Market / Grocery Store — carrots, apples, occasional seeds and healing items.
  • Farm Plots — passive crops (Carrot, Corn, Pumpkin, Chili, Cake) for taming food; see Pet Food.
  • Sawmill — converts logs into Planks.

Your base. The campfire area is the only true safe zone — The Deer will not enter its radius while the fire burns, and most bench upgrades live here. Keep 10+ logs stocked before nightfall; the campfire itself is covered in How to Get Wood Fast.

Where Sources Disagree

How many outer biomes per run. rblxguide states each run gets one outer biome — a 50/50 Snow or Volcanic roll, never both. Several other location guides also list a Jungle sector. The safest reading: the exact outer-biome set is version-dependent, so check your own map borders early and plan around whatever you got.

Fixed vs radial. A few older write-ups describe fixed coordinates; the current consensus is radial generation around the campfire. Either way, the categories above are what matter for farming.

Structure loot tables. The fandom wiki lists exact item counts per shed/cabin; those numbers are not independently corroborated and shift with distance from the campfire (loot scales the further out you go). Treat specific counts as approximate.
