How to Get the Obsidiron Hammer in 99 Nights in the Forest
The Obsidiron Hammer is the Meteor-event melee — 70 damage, a 1-second swing and the Morningstar's explosion bar. How to trigger the Meteor Shower, repair the Meteor Anvil, and craft the Obsidiron Chest.
The Obsidiron Hammer is the melee weapon that comes out of the Meteor Shower event — and statistically it is a clone of the Morningstar: same 70 damage, same one-second swing, same explosion bar. The only reason to chase one over the other is how you get it, because this one ends in a chest you craft yourself rather than a chest you happen to find.
It is also, for now, an event weapon: the whole chain only exists while a Meteor Shower is running. This page covers the full chain, the numbers, and the one detail — the Obsidiron armour set — that makes the explosion bar charge faster.

70 damage is the top of the obtainable-melee table, level with the Morningstar and the disputed Cultist King Mace. Both the fandom wiki and rblxguide state the three are stat-identical, which is the cleanest example in the game of "same numbers, three different doors".
The Explosion Bar
The Hammer has a meter that fills every time you deal damage — and, per Deltia's Gaming, every time you take damage while wearing the Obsidiron Body and Boots. When it tops out, an explosion goes off around you and hits everything nearby for roughly 50–60. rblxguide notes the same bar can also be sped up with the Obsidiron Boots, Obsidiron Body and the obsidian shield the Brute class unlocks at level 3.
That is the practical reason the set matters: the Hammer and the Body drop from the same chest, so a couple of lucky runs hand you the whole package.

How to Get It — The Meteor Chain
There is exactly one route, and it is a five-step chain that only opens during a Meteor Shower. Every step is a known stopping point, so plan them in one session.
1. Catch a Meteor Shower. The event drops the Meteor Anvil onto the map, highlighted so you can see it. Our Infernal Helmet page records the anvil appearing from day 5 onward; the event itself was added with the Meteor Shower Update on 27 September 2025.
2. Repair the Meteor Anvil. It arrives broken: put the broken pieces back on the big anvil to activate it. Only then does it offer the Obsidiron recipes.
3. Mine the materials. The chest recipe needs three ingredients:

4. Craft the Obsidiron Chest. At the Meteor Anvil, select the Obsidiron Chest recipe, lay the materials down and wait for the craft to finish. You get a blueprint — carry it back to your campfire and place the chest like any other furniture.
5. Open it. The chest is a random roll, not a guaranteed Hammer. Deltia's wording is "if you are lucky, you may get the Obsidiron Hammer on your first attempt — otherwise rinse and repeat". The chest also yields the Obsidiron Body.
Cost note: step 5 is the annoying one, because you may craft several chests before the Hammer appears — and every chest costs the full 10 / 5 / 3. Budget the shards accordingly, and keep mining red and black crystals every Shower rather than only when you decide you want the weapon.
Other Sources (Seasonal)
The fandom wiki records two event routes beyond the Meteor chain: it was obtainable during the Thanksgiving event, and it can currently drop from saving the elves — as a chance reward alongside 5 candy canes (6 with the Tier 3 Santa's Helper class). That is a single-source note about seasonal content, so treat it as "worth checking during a holiday event" rather than a reliable farm.

Neither is strictly better. The Morningstar is available on any run and you trip over Gold Chests while doing other things; the Obsidiron Hammer removes the chest lottery but only exists during the event. If a Meteor Shower is live, craft the chest; if not, farm Gold Chests and let the Morningstar find you. Both are S-tier on Best Weapons.
